Winter Lake Adventure Camp
February 19 - 23, 9:30am - 3:30pm
(Early drop off and late pickup available.)
Lake Champlain Maritime Museum is very excited to offer Winter Lake Adventure Camp at our museum for the first time this year. As students learn about the protection of the environment and preservation of Lake Champlain's cultural resources, we want them to play as they learn, and learn as they play!
During this week-long winter camp, campers will learn about life in the winter months for the wildlife who inhabit our forests, mountains, lakes, and fields. We will keep track of the weather and play a variety of winter activities and sports. LCMM Living Historians will teach us how people in the past lived during the long, cold winter months here in the frontier wilderness by building fires and shelters. When we need to warm our fingers and toes, we 'll do indoor crafts and art activities, expanding on what we learn outside in the snow.
